The primary goal of the 2020 Census is to count everyone once, only once, and in the right place.

This data helps make our community better by providing money for programs, services, and projects out of the $675 billion to be distributed by the federal government over the next 10 years. Highway Planning & Construction, Title Grants to Schools, School Lunch Programs, Medicaid, Foster Care, Low Income Home Energy Assistance, and Head Start are some of the programs that receive funding based on Census data. Together, these funds and data will be used to improve the quality of life for Liberty County Georgia  residents and even visitors.

You only have 1 time to count and you have to live with results for 10 years. From the 2010 Census, Liberty County Georgia had a $94 million impact per year, or $1,500 per person per year impact. (We also missed out on millions too). The goal of the Liberty County 2020 Census Campaign is to to make sure everyone is aware of the 2020 Census and be sure every body is counted in April 2020. These efforts will ensure our community will receive maximum financial support and gain increase increased knowledge about community demographics so we can plan for the future and pay for it too.

Participating in the 2020 Census means you are counted so that your needs can be met.
